Itinerary information
Day 01 – Colombo to Talangama
Arrive at Bandaranayake International Airport in Colombo and transfer to your hotel for one night. If arriving in the morning, enjoy afternoon birding at the Talangama Wetlands, home to around 50 species of migrant and endemic birds including Cinnamon, Black, and Yellow Bitterns, as well as the endemic Ceylon Swallow. As evening falls, watch for Brown Hawk Owls and Collared Scops Owls.

Day 02 – Negombo to Wilpattu
After breakfast, depart for Wilpattu for two nights. In the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive in Wilpattu National Park, famous for leopards, sloth bears, wild elephants, and endemic birds such as the Ceylon Junglefowl and Brown-capped Babbler.

Day 03 – Wilpattu National Park
Spend a full day exploring Wilpattu National Park on guided game drives in search of leopards, sloth bears, wild elephants, and diverse birdlife.

Day 04 – Wilpattu to Sigiriya
After breakfast, travel to Sigiriya for one night. In the afternoon, take a jeep safari at Minneriya National Park, known for its large reservoir and thriving wildlife. Later in the evening, enjoy an optional Loris watching experience.

Day 05 – Wasgamuwa National Park
Embark on morning and afternoon game drives in Wasgamuwa National Park, home to approximately 150 wild elephants, wild buffalo, spotted deer, crocodiles, and occasional sightings of leopards and sloth bears.

Day 06 – Wasgamuwa to Gal Oya National Park
After breakfast, head to your campsite inside Gal Oya National Park for two nights surrounded by untouched wilderness.

Day 07 – Gal Oya National Park
Spend a full day in Gal Oya National Park. Witness the rare “elephant crossing” at Parakrama Samudraya, where wild elephants swim between islands – a sight unique to Sri Lanka.

Day 08 – Gal Oya to Yala National Park
After breakfast, transfer to Yala for two nights. In the afternoon, embark on a game drive to spot leopards, elephants, sloth bears, and other wildlife.

Day 09 – Yala Full-Day Safari
Enjoy a full-day safari in Yala National Park with expert trackers to maximize your chances of leopard sightings.

In the morning, visit Bundala National Park, a Ramsar wetland famous for large flocks of Greater Flamingos. In the afternoon, enjoy another game drive in Yala National Park.

Day 11 – Yala to Sinharaja Rainforest

Day 12 – Sinharaja to Negombo
Enjoy a morning visit to Sinharaja Rainforest before transferring to Negombo for your final night on the beach.
